Top 10 ListEach month I update the list of the top 10 most visited posts since this blog began in 2011. I’ve published over 540 posts in the past 2.5 years and it’s revealing to track what’s popular over the long term. The Worst Mistakes I’ve Made As An Employee remains by far the most viewed post.

During the month of November, we saw several posts rearrange their position while one post dropped out of the list – Are You Doing What You Love to Do? – and one new post joined the list – The Worst Bosses I’ve Ever HadFive of the top ten relate to employee life.

Among other blog pages that are not blog posts or the home page, the most viewed are About Jeff Ross#ESNchat and This, I Believe, with the #ESNchat page new to the top three this month. #ESNchat is a weekly Twitter chat I host on the subject of Enterprise Social Networks, and the separate website domain I own of ESNchat.com redirects to the #ESNchat page on this blog, accounting for its rise in views.

You’ll find a link to the top 10 all-time posts at the top of the blog. Check out the full list, current as of December 4, 2013.

During the month of October, we saw the posts “Deciding When to Leave Your Job” and “What I Appreciate Most in Coworkers” rise in the rankings to #2 and #7, respectively, while a few others slipped. “What Annoys Me the Most About Coworkers,” “What I Would Do Different As a Dad If I Had the Chance,” and “Are You Doing What You Love to Do?” slipped to #3, #4 and #9 respectively. Others held their positions: “More Questions Than Answers” (#5), “It’s Tough Changing One’s Direction” (#6), and “Quit Holding Social Media to a Different Standard” (#8).

A newcomer to the top 10 this month is “Rethink Routine” in the #10 spot, nudging out of the list “The Best Behaviors I’ve Shown As An Employee.”

With this month’s update, I’m now also tracking the top three most viewed pages that are not blog posts – permanent pages always linked at the top of the site (except the Home page which always has the most views).
