Each month I update the list of the top 10 most visited posts since this blog began in 2011. I’ve published over 500 posts in the past 2.5 years and it’s revealing to track what’s popular over the long term. “The Worst Mistakes I’ve Made As An Employee” remains by far the most viewed post.
During the month of October, we saw the posts “Deciding When to Leave Your Job” and “What I Appreciate Most in Coworkers” rise in the rankings to #2 and #7, respectively, while a few others slipped. “What Annoys Me the Most About Coworkers,” “What I Would Do Different As a Dad If I Had the Chance,” and “Are You Doing What You Love to Do?” slipped to #3, #4 and #9 respectively. Others held their positions: “More Questions Than Answers” (#5), “It’s Tough Changing One’s Direction” (#6), and “Quit Holding Social Media to a Different Standard” (#8).
A newcomer to the top 10 this month is “Rethink Routine” in the #10 spot, nudging out of the list “The Best Behaviors I’ve Shown As An Employee.”
Five of the top ten relate to employee life.
With this month’s update, I’m now also tracking the top three most viewed pages that are not blog posts – permanent pages always linked at the top of the site (except the Home page which always has the most views). Go to the full list for that detail, current as of November 3, 2013. There is always a link to the Top 10 at the top of the blog on the menu bar.
Thanks to each of you for being here! There would be no top 10 posts without you.
